A valued customer of mine once said:
"Good wine deserves a good glass, bad wine needs a good glass!"
Important notice:
After 25 years in the business, I have decided to change direction and I have now stopped dealing in glass. I would like to thank all my customers, those who only bought once and those who kept coming back. I have removed my contact details from the website as I am extremely busy with my new enterprise. I will leave the photographs up as a reference site for a while, but the site will be removed at some point in the future.
I have been dealing in antique glass for over 23 years. For the first ten at Camden Passage in Islington, London and for the last 13 at Portobello Road where I have the largest selection of decanters and glasses.
I specialise in English and Irish 18th, 19th and early 20th century pieces. I also deal in glass to eat and drink from, and to decorate the table with, including caddy bowls and early Baccarat and some Bohemian glass including Masonic glasses when possible to source.
My stock tends to sell quickly so the photos in the sections on the left are good examples of glass for sale at any time. All pieces are 'one offs' and I feel it important that they should be handled and compared with other pieces from the same period to compare weight and nuance of colour - clear glass is not just clear!
To find out more about the glass I stock, browse through the sections to the left.
